This was our last stay in our safari and it was a memorable one. In addition to the above statements, the national park with black rhinos etc. was great and not far away. The orphanage located immediately adjoining the property was a wonderful experience with Benson showing us around. Many of the animals we saw on safari we could see up close and learn more about them.

It’s always a pleasure staying with you. The top notch hospitality, the scenery, the orphanage, the rooooms; everything blends in to create an amazing experience. See you soon

We recently had the most wonderful stay at Mount Kenya Safari Club. The staff went way and beyond their jobs to make our experience and stay truly memorable. The location is stunning and the accommodation was very comfortable, with lovely extra 'turn down' touches at bedtime. We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent buffet with many varied, delicious and unique options. We can't recommend the hotel highly enough.

I have stayed at Mt. Kenya several times but unfortunately this time round it was not one of the best. I do understand that the hotel was full on the day we stayed there and we were allocated the old rooms. They are not renovated as the rest of the rooms in the main block side. The most unfortunate thing is we had to pay the same amount as guests who were staying in better rooms. Reason I say this is because, my room had a number of issues, first, the sink was leaking, there were stains on the floor, carpet and curtains. The phone in the room was not working ( kept on charging the whole time I occupied the room) and I had to reach out to the reception through the contacts in the website. I must however point out that the service was quite good. I informed the reception about the sink issue and they responded quite first by sending a plumber to sort it out. The rest of the issues are just maintenance related. The cleanliness standards are average compared to the rooms on the main block. If the hotel could ensure that the Riverside rooms are as good as the rest it would be great as guests are paying the same amount but others get a better deal than the rest.

We loved the property. Service was also good. The only two things we felt were lacking were 1) the food was good but not great. After coming in from Governors Camp and eating fabulous food for 4 days, the buffet was a bit of a let down. The variety was superb but the taste was mostly good (some average) but hardly ever great. 2) we all found Samson at the travel desk condescending in his tone: he seemed to rush us to book stuff, and when we called for slots for things, he consistently behaved like he was doing us a favour by letting us participate. I felt he would be better placed in a bureaucratic office rather than in the hospitality section. He did explain the activities properly and did give the horse riding free as it started 20 mins late- which is appreciated. It’s just that all of us separately felt that he was cocky in his tone and didn’t appreciate dealing with him. I would rather write it here than on a review elsewhere. Everyone else was fab- special thanks to the lovely pregnant girl serving at the bar (so kind and hardworking), and Tracy who walked around the property with us so we could find the River and stood by the maze because we were scared!

We celebrated our anniversary at the Mt. Kenya Safari club. The grounds were impeccable and the staff professional. We had a special dinner arranged outside with the a chef and it was nicely put together.
