I was welcome n great by the hotel manager Mr mark . A polite n efficient person who always makes my day complete . Great service award for his service n excellent trust in his work. I actually book a night stay with Fairmont hotel n spend the next 5 nights in another hotel . But due to his diligence in getting a room for me with also his effectiveness, I cancelled my other hotel stay n extended with Fairmont . I must say that this hotel 5 star rating is not completed without his presence . Thoughtfulness , patience and excellent communication skill is his strength .

Premier service just cannot offset the cracks, bulges, crumbling pointing and damp patches of the rooms. Wall paper started peeling off, the paint of sliding door flaked off, basin and tap badly stained. Would shell out ¥2000 for a decent overnight stay in a better maintained hotel rather than revisit this one.

I'm a regular at Fairmont Beijing. It's my home away from home when I go to Beijing. It's great to be remembered by staff throughout the hotel. On this occasion I wanted to note an extra special effort. I had left my medication in the bathroom when I checked out. It's something that I had assumed that housekeeping would throw in the rubbish as they prepared for the next guest. However, today, less than a week since I returned to Shanghai, a small parcel containing my medicine has arrived at my office. My special thanks to the housekeeper who was looking after my room and to Front Desk for sending the medicine to me. That's going the extra mile. Thank you.

The check in was a mess. Only two staffs at check in desk. I was first in line but due to the poor management. Took me nearly 20 mins to check in. The poor girl who checked me in had to do multi tasks. Where was the concierge when some people cut the line because they need to pick up their luggages urgently? I have been travel to a lot of countries and sometimes left things behind by accident. I always got a call from the hotel. However, this time I left AirPods Pro and realised two hours later after I got to the airport. I called the hotel but no where to find. I did look at the gps and knew where it was. But nothing I can do. I gave 4/10 for the clean room. The poor girl who checked me in had to provide me the best service she could while also had to deal with other issues when there is no colleague to support her.

Fairmont Gold lounge was closed one evening due to "maintenance" issues. I ended up having happy hour drinks at the hotel bar but it took over 20 minutes for both the food and drinks to arrive. Very embarrassing given that I was with a client. The following morning, my client arrived before me for breakfast and ended up paying the bill before I arrived. When I found out about this, I asked the restaurant manager to refund the bill to my client but nothing happened. My client didn't really want the refund and didn't push the restaurant manager. She agreed and we left. Given that I stayed in Fairmont Gold, the restaurant staff should have refunded the money to my client regardless of whether he wanted the money back or not. During my checkout, I complained about the closure of the Fairmont Gold lounge for one evening and they did give me a discount of CNY 400 which is why I didn't rate my overall experience as "dissatisfied." But clearly the service level of the hotel should improve given the fact that it's part of Fairmont. Thanks!
I stayed twice in your hotel in the past few months (first one for 9 nights in September 2022, and second one for five nights in February 2023). Hotel facility maintenance is generally ok. The only issue I spotted is the breakfast. The restaurant is clearly understaffed, and the training/service is below the standard. For instance, every time I have lunch there, the staff at the reception does not lead the way to table, and the table is always uncleaned for previous customers. In other similar hotels, staff would normally ask for coffee/tea but there is nothing here. I mentioned once to the manager at the reception back in September, but seems there has been no progress.
