We had a wonderful stay with lovely room and really enjoyed the champagne bar and ambience of the hotel

Disruptive noise in my sleeping quarters, children kicking a soccer ball at my door. upon enter no help taking luggage indoors only once I was in the lobby. Even though seating was available for breakfast; I was met with an unwelcoming approach. Furthermore upon booking a room (I called the plaza) I was scoffed at for not knowing the types of bedrooms. I then proceeded to just having my assistant book the room through the website directly. What a shame.

Wanted to love it but it feels like it's living in the past... On the plus side: - Delightful Edwardian suite - Concierge was helpful - One of the front desk staff was welcoming and always engaging - Iconic property and perfect location HOWEVER - Bad check-in experience: no name recognition, too busy to acknowledge us, left waiting, etc - Butler service was non-existent: don't promote it so heavily if there's no follow through - Doorman offered no support, assistance or engagement for the duration of our stay - Housekeeping pushed back against leaving our room for a few minutes so our children could get changed. A very awkward moment! - General service experience was tangibly below par for any luxury hotel, let alone the Plaza - F&B options are very limited and require a significant overhaul to live up to their famed grandeur - The Residences have shut down what feels like half of the hotel so the hotel spaces are very limited

Grimy old furniture should be replaced. Food was great if overpriced. Friendly staff. Minibar with snacks that were way overpriced and poorly chosen. I will tell my friends that the overall price gouging is probably not worth the experience. But we just wanted to check out what the fuss was all about given the hotel's reputation.

Was saddened to see all bike racks and rickshaw vehicles with loud music parked in front of hotel.
